EXPRESSIONS

1. Oblogations
Examples:

• Do we have to bring a plant for our school yard?
• You must speak louder. I can't hear you.

2. Prohibitions

c Examples:

• You must not borrow more than three book at a time.
• Children must not play with matches.
• Don't rely on your mum. Do it yourself.
• Don't sit on the beach.
• Don't run in thecorridor.
• You mustn't sleep here.
• It is prohibited to...
• You aren't allowed to...

• It is forbidden to...

3. Recomendations

Examples:

• You should get up early and have more exercise.
• You should try that new Padang Restaurant.
• Keep away from the animals. They are wild.

4. We use have to/must/should + infinitive to talk about oblgation, things that are necessary to do, or to give advise.
